Environment, Health & Safety Policy Statement

The objectives of the Policy are:

  • To provide a safe and healthy work place for all our employees, which is incident and injury free.
  • To enable our employees to embrace Safety as a Value and realise that they have a responsibility for their own Health and Safety and those who may be affected by what they do or fail to do.
  • To provide the relevant information, instruction, training and supervision, to facilitate all our employees to carry out their work in a safe manner.
  • To persuade our employees to raise Health and Safety issues and to respond in an appropriate fashion, and to encourage them to report to their immediate Supervisor any defects identified in plant, equipment, place or system of work.
  • To maintain an effective accident and incident reporting system and to respond to all such reports in an expedient manner with a view to identifying the cause and eradicating the possibility of a re-occurrence.
  • To provide and maintain a Safe and Healthy working environment for all our contractors, customers, neighbours and suppliers and all those likely to be affected by our operations.
  • To ensure that management at all levels are fully aware of their responsibilities for employee’s Health and Safety and of their requirement to identify hazards and control risks by implementing and monitoring safe systems of work and safe operating procedures.
  • To ensure that the work place is maintained in a clean, tidy and hygienic condition throughout.
  • This Company identifies its legal duty and is committed to complying with the requirements of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, the General Application Regulations 2007, and all other relevant statutory requirements.

In order to continue to produce and maintain an on-going high standard of Safety, Health and Environmental Policy Principles QME are dedicated to ensuring that adequate human resources and financial support are, at all times, available to enable the Company operate in a safe, efficient and productive manner. Our Safety Management System comprises of eight vital elements which both individually and collectively are imperative in the continuing success of the Company in maintaining a safe and successful relationship with all of our many Clients.
In accordance with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, all QME employees are continuously reminded of their statutory duties therein and of their duty of care to all other persons who may be affected by what do or fail to do.
