QME has been appointed as the underground mining contractor for Shanoon Resources Limited (SRL) as part of the recommencement of mining operations at the Galmoy Mine in County Kilkenny. The project marks the return of one of Ireland’s most significant zinc, lead and silver mines, with the objective of recovering remaining ore reserves and developing additional mineral resources to support Europe’s growing demand for critical minerals.
Drawing on decades of underground mining experience, QME is providing the specialist personnel, equipment and engineering expertise required to safely recommission the underground mine and support its long-term operation.
